This is the end of the current year for the Sony PlayStation brand. As of February 2020, Sony’s next PlayStation console will be called PlayStation 4.
This is a big deal, but a big one doesn’t necessarily mean that you should stop playing some of your current games. There’s plenty of ways to play with your games after the console is finished and that’s what we’re going to be talking about today. So let’s dive right in.
Let’s start off with the games that are being discontinued and not sold to gamers. This includes the Xbox One’s pre-order exclusives and the PS4’s current lineup. This is because Sony wants to make sure their gamers don’t end up with only the console’s current roster of games. The reason for this is that if you don’t have the current lineup on your PS4, you will have to pay to get it on your current console.
I think it also has to do with the fact that Sony wants to ensure their gamers dont even consider getting a PS4 until they play enough games on the current lineup. This is because they dont want to be left out of the current lineup of games.
This is the biggest one. I am really looking forward to playing the games on the current lineup of games. Not because I will be playing them on the console that I purchased them on, but because I want to play all of the current Xbox games.
It’s also possible (and probably more likely) that Sony will drop backwards compatibility on the current lineup of games, just like the Xbox One did. If this happens, it’s not like you’ll just be able to play any game you bought on the Xbox One, but you’ll be limited to only those games you can play in the current system.
If you’re still on the fence about what you want to play, I’d recommend waiting for the PlayStation family to hit the market. This way, if you want to play something you bought on the Xbox One, you’ll have some options.
That said, if you’re not ready to completely drop your current systems, then you should probably wait until a new generation of hardware is available. That being said, the best way to make sure youve got current games in the family is to get the one that you want to play.
I’m with you here. Thats why I want to get my PlayStation 4 console out and play some of my favorite games. I’ve got my PSP and PS3, but I’ll definitely be grabbing the Xbox One when it hits the shelves. The Xbox One has the same processor as the PS4, which has some pretty solid games at launch.
For all the games I’ve played on my PSP, I have to say I have enjoyed the controller’s ease of use over the past two years. But the PlayStation 4 controller has a nice design that fits my hand better than the previous controller’s awkward design did. It’s also the only controller I’ve ever used that has a camera and it makes it feel much more real and responsive. I’m very happy with my PS4 controller.
