The Sony Playstation 4 is currently experiencing a security breach. The company believes that the security of the console is best secured via the use of a software patch.
If you’re a PlayStation 4 owner, you’re probably wondering what on Earth is going on. Sony has been in the news recently for a variety of reasons: PlayStation 3 console security issues, the death of a PlayStation 2 in a fire, and a number of other issues. Last night the Sony blog posts a new update about the security of the console.
The post notes that the new security measures include a “smart lock” and that the “keypad” is now biometric. The blog post notes that the new security features are “built into the secure components of the console.” There appears to be no mention of a way to reset the console, but Sony hasn’t confirmed this either.
It’s possible that this is just a patch and that Sony is not actively preventing users from resetting the console. If a user has reset the console and now wants to reset the security features, then they should uninstall the software that has reset them and install the new one. But if this is simply a patch that Sony isnt actively preventing, then it doesn’t seem to be a big issue.
If it isnt then this seems like a very important security feature, especially considering that the console is being used to play pirated games. Some gamers have even reported that they have lost their data when they booted up their console after playing a pirated game. It’s also possible that you could just try resetting the console, but this might be a bit of a hassle.
It’s worth saying that not all consoles work the same way, so it might not be perfect. But since more than half of the PlayStation 4’s games are pirated, it could be a huge security problem.
The best way to avoid this sort of thing is to keep your console off of the internet entirely. In a worst case scenario, you could just burn all your data, but this would be much safer if you have a backup. I’m also not sure that I totally understand why you would do that. It’s like you’re trying to keep your own data and a console, but you’re afraid somebody is going to go through your personal files and get into the console.
I really don’t understand what the big deal is here, but it’s not like we’re talking about a game or something, so I’m sure it’s not a big issue. The point is to make sure you have a way to backup your data (you can do this manually, but there are various ways to do so online).
For starters, you can use cloud storage. If you don’t know about this, backup your files to a remote server. Then you can access them from the cloud. But you still have to backup your files anyway.
This is the easiest thing to back up, but you’ll need a cloud service to access them. It’s like a “cloud” backup. You can use this to back up your data for free, but you still have to do it manually. This requires a lot of time and effort, and it’s not a good idea to use this as a regular backup.
