My partner and I always end the evening with a bottle of wine. You might think we are an odd couple but we actually like each other. We have two dogs (Dahlia and a mix of Rottweiler/Chihuahua/mini Dachshund) and a cat (Honey). You might also wonder what kind of work we do at the end of the day. We are a software development company working on a variety of projects.
We are not in the gaming industry. We are in the computer related industry, although we have a small team that works on gaming-related projects.
We actually were thinking this week about how to describe ourselves. I was thinking of it as a “game company” and an “entertainment company.” We love creating and playing games and movies, so we describe ourselves as a game company, although we also like making games and movies.
We also love our job. A game company is not really a company in the traditional sense. In fact, the word does not exist in the English language. A game company is a company that makes games.
We love our job. We also love our jobs. At Entrotec, we really are a game company. We make games. We design and develop games. We design and develop games that we hope and imagine to be the best videogame ever. We love working on games and we love talking about games.
Entrotec is a game company. They don’t have an office, a board room, or even a website. They don’t have a payroll, an accounting system, or an employee handbook. They don’t have a human resources department, an employee benefits department, or an employee benefits plan. They don’t have a legal department. They don’t have a sales department, or an advertising department.
The company is currently run by three different people. They have a small, but growing, team that is trying to develop the game as quickly as possible in order to release it within the year. The other two team members are working on making sure that the game has the best possible balance between gameplay and story, and they are also trying to find a publisher so they can make a full-scale game.
Entrotec is an independent game developer out of the Netherlands. In fact, after they made the game, the Dutch government gave them a tax-free budget of €1,000,000 ($1,140,000) to develop the game. This means that they have to work with a budget of less than that for each project. That said, they have a staff of five, and they have a small team of four, so they are able to work with the budget they have.
The game has an interesting twist to it. In the game you get to kill all of the Visionaries in a day, and you have to do it all in a row as quickly as possible, so it can’t be rushed. Instead you have to go through each one in a specific order, and as you kill them, they will call you and tell you when they’re done and if you must leave them to be free for the day.
That sounds like a pretty cool game if you ask me, and one I hope to play more of after Deathloop.
