If you do not, the DualShock 3 controller is not recommended. D4D2 is a nice little game, but the DualShock 4 controller is not a proper controller for playing games online.

Yeah, the DualShock 4 controller is pretty good, especially for shooters. But I would personally only recommend the DualShock 3 for playing online or streaming video.

I’m sure you can find a lot of other people saying the same thing, but I can assure you that I have used the DualShock 4 controller for a few days now and have not had any issues. I have also used the DualShock 3 controller for a few weeks now and have not had any issues with it either. It’s just not a proper controller for playing games online or streaming video with.
