My favorite thing to do with a pre-order is to see how much it has sold, and then take it away, and then send it back.
You can cancel a pre-order of a console (such as the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or PlayStation Vita) by sending it back to the pre-order site. As of this writing, the game is still on sale, at a savings of 15% off the MSRP, and it is not eligible for any other coupons. As usual, the price is a bit steep, but it’s a great way to get an early Christmas gift for yourself or a friend.
My friend and I are heading to CES to try out PlayStation Plus, a service that lets you get more games for your PS4 if you pre-purchase them. We were a bit hesitant to go ahead with this, as PS Plus is only available to PS4 owners at launch, but we figured, why not. The good news is, it seems to be pretty awesome.
As a preorder, you will be able to purchase PS Plus for $20/game, which will cost you $200 total. However, this purchase is not eligible for any other coupons. The only thing that seems to be lacking is the service’s ability to redeem for extra games. You will not have access to any special discounts, like the PS Plus discount that everyone is talking about.
While this was clearly not the ideal situation for us, we figured that this was still an awesome deal for preorder owners. Plus, you can also get in on the 25th for the $25 promo.
Since we’re going to be buying the game at a discount, we decided to cancel our preorder for the PS Plus plan. This was also a great deal because we were able to still get a free game with this preorder. The only thing we were missing was access to the 25% off coupon that will be going towards the game. This is definitely a deal worth making, especially given the price of the game itself.
The PlayStation Store doesn’t have a cancellation policy, so you have to be very careful with preorders. If you cancel your preorder, the game is no longer yours. So we decided to cancel the preorder to prevent any legal problems.
We’re not saying we would have cancelled our preorder if the game didnt go on sale. However, we think it’s better to let the game sit on the shelf where it will make more people play it, and then the sale will be cancelled. The fact that it is going on sale means people will be able to get a copy of the game, so we think this is a good way to avoid any legal issues.
If you cancel the preorder, you will receive an email from us telling you you can’t cancel your preorder.
It seems that the PlayStation 4 version of Deathloop will be releasing in about two weeks, so we would suggest cancelling your preorder there if you can.
