I will admit, I am not a fan of the game. I don’t feel the same as a fan of the franchise. I do not feel the same emotions that the fans have. I have a few friends who are fans and enjoy the game, but I do not.
The reason is that the game is very linear. Players are required to go through a single story that follows the events in the single most important mission in the entire game in a very linear manner. This is the very same thing that is done in real life and the result is that it is a very linear experience. I have a very hard time enjoying linear experiences, especially when they do not feel real to me.
Well, I can’t play. I already have the main quest (the ‘Gazlow’ mission) finished, but I am forced to go through the ‘Gazlow’ mission twice in order to complete the game. That’s not what I want. I want to experience things in a different way. So I am playing the ‘Dusk’ mission, which is an open world that I will explore in my own time.
Of course, the real problem with this is that there is no way for customers to give feedback on the in-game problems they encounter. It is very hard for a customer to tell you that you can’t get through a new area because the way it is designed is “not how I would do it and I am not a great player.” So this is just one of the many things that players can’t really complain about.
But for the real fans of the game I can understand why the game designer did it. I’m sure there are many great ideas that went into the game but it makes it very difficult to actually support the game. Players of the game may feel like they are the only ones having an issue, but it is just impossible to tell the whole community because you can’t just talk to the game developer.
In short, players of the game can’t ask to be asked about something that they don’t know. But they can ask to be told about something that they do know. By doing this they can tell us more about the game and what the game is like. What we found is that the majority of the player community is a very active and engaged community. They are not only answering their questions, but they are sharing their questions and concerns with the community.
