I first discovered that I needed a memory card reader for the PS2. It was a fairly easy fix for me, but the question of whether a memory card reader is necessary has been answered. It is, and I’m not saying it’s the best memory card reader because it isn’t. But it is a very good one that comes close.
If you want to play the latest PS2 games, you will need a memory card. The Sony memory card is a little better in almost every way for playing games. It has a better data rate, has more memory capacity, can be used to cache your games, and supports up to 2GB of storage. The big downside is that it is only compatible with the PS2. I have a Sony memory card reader, but I think its a little too big for my wallet.
Sony’s Memory Card is the only memory card reader compatible with the PS2. I haven’t seen or used a Sony memory card reader, but I am sure there are plenty of readers out there, and I’m sure some of them are better than others.
Another benefit of the Sony card reader is that once you use it, the PS2 will automatically format it into a memory card. The downside is that you lose all the files on it. Of course you could also just use any standard memory stick and be set. The bottom line is there is no shortage of memory card readers, and I think Sony has the best ones. I havent used one personally, but Ive heard good things about them.
Unfortunately no, there is no shortage of memory card readers. Many of us have a “standard” memory stick, which is the same size as a standard memory card. The standard memory stick is made by companies like Seagate, Toshiba, and Samsung. There is also a new memory card standard called NandFlash, which is very similar to the old NTFS. NandFlash is made by companies like Texas Instruments, Sun, and JVC.
Personally, I’m not a big fan of the standard memory sticks. My brother has one of the newer Samsung sticks and its still just a regular memory stick, not a card. If you want to store your game data on one of these, I recommend the Samsung. If you want to store music or movies, you could use the Seagate or Toshiba memory sticks.
NandFlash cards are sold for a pittance, so you will want to look for a company that offers a high quality, durable memory that can be easily used to store video and music. Since the NandFlash cards are sold by memory card companies, there is a chance that you will run into a brick while inserting the memory into your computer.
Although the Seagate and Toshiba memory sticks are the most commonly used cards, there are quite a few third-party memory card makers out there. Check out MemoryStick.com, or to look for a memory card that works with your PC’s standard memory slots.
Personally, I’ve found the memory stick to be the easiest to use. Not only does it offer a high-quality, durable memory, but it is very easy to insert and remove. The only downside is that only certain manufacturers of memory stick offer it in a single card.
If you are looking to use a memory stick as a regular memory card, you might find that you can’t. The standard card size is 4GB, and the only memory stick that offers 4GB in a single card is the Samsung Solid State Memory Stick. This is a USB 3.0 memory stick, which is the first type of USB 3.0 memory stick that is compatible with the new, high-speed USB 3.0 memory cards that are going to be coming out.
