The first video game I ever owned was the arcade game called “Jagged Alliance.” I was 8 years old when I first played it. I loved it so much that I owned it for many years after that. I didn’t develop the habit as the result of gaming, and since I became a man I have come to realize that I just didn’t like being a man.
I guess the first step to breaking out is to realize that gaming is not what you think it is. It doesn’t even seem that way because no matter how hard you try your gaming habits will come back to haunt you. You can quit now and have it all be over, but at the same time you can always stay there. You can take a break and change your habits and be a man again.
In a way gaming is like a drug. You get high on that drug and stay high. But you never really experience the euphoria that comes with the drug. And you never take that high with you. In gaming, you can play games for a day or a week and never get high, but you don’t have the opportunity to experience the high.
