This is an interesting article about what happens when you have a very low and very high level of self-awareness. I do some of my best work when I am aware of myself enough that I can make a pretty good decision about what I am doing. For example, when I am working on this article, I would be more mindful of the time I am wasting if I didn’t take a class I had been meaning to take.

For example, I recently attended a class on the intersection between creativity and self-awareness. It was a two-hour class where we were taught techniques to build a framework for self-awareness. In Self Awareness, the self is self-aware of his mistakes and the instructor is self-aware of his weaknesses. This is a good example of what you might call “hiding your self.” The instructor is self-aware of his own mistakes, but the instructor is also self-aware of his own weaknesses. It’s like this example, but even more subtle.
