I’ve come to realize that most of my electricity usage is done online. I plug in and I’m good to go. When I’m home, I plug in the PS4 and it’s all good. When I’m at work, I plug in my Xbox and get to gaming.
That seems like a fair way to do it, but a lot of our energy comes from the electrical grid, not the device itself. In order to make the most out of our energy usage, we have to be mindful of where we’re using it, whether it’s at home or at work. The PS4 uses more electrical energy than the Xbox when it’s not connected to the power grid, which is to say the PS4 is an awesome toy.
The PS4 can only be used at home, which is why I always suggest it to people. You can also plug your Xbox into the Xbox360’s charging dock, which allows you to use the Xbox without having to plug it in. It’s a bit of a sacrifice, but it’s worth it in order to have great gaming and entertainment on the go.
It’s not just the PS4 that has more energy than the Xbox. It’s the PS3, as well, which is a bit of a trade-off. The Xbox and the PS3 share the same power supply, but the PS3 has a longer range which is helpful when gaming at home. If you’re using the PS3 at the office, you’re going to need a second power supply (which of course, you can have as a backup if you need it).
Its also a bit of a trade-off as well since the Xbox has a slightly stronger CPU and GPU than the PS3. Its not like you have to spend all that money for a gaming system unless youre a gamer.
As for the Xbox, the Playstation uses the same chipset as the PS3. That’s good to know, because it means you can expect a similar gaming experience on the Xbox. But the Xbox has a slightly stronger CPU and GPU than the PlayStation 3.
