Sony announced that it will be launching a crossplatform push for the PlayStation 4, which means that you can play your favorite games on both the PS4 and the PS3. It would be nice if Sony had announced this sooner so that we could get this as an option on our next PS4.
This is one thing that will make crossplatform gaming a bit better, but it isn’t enough. It’s still hard to tell which games you’re going to like on one platform and which you’re going to like on another. Crossplay allows you to play the same game on the same console and still see it on the other, but it can also sometimes be a pain. For example, I have a bunch of games on my PS3 that I never plan to play on my PS4.
Sony recently announced crossplay support for a few games that were not on PlayStation 3, meaning they will be playable on the same console. This includes all of the PS3 exclusives and the upcoming PS4 exclusive Uncharted 4. The next few months will be a big time for Sony and crossplay. PS3 exclusives like Uncharted 4 and Final Fantasy XV will also be coming to PS4 on August 17th, as well as the next release of Killzone Shadow Fall.
While Sony’s announcement doesn’t seem like it’s going to be a big deal, it means that Sony will be releasing games for consoles and PC simultaneously, and this is big news for PC gamers. Sony is not going to let a game like Uncharted 4 just sit on the sidelines for a year.
Crossplay allows games to run on Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360 at the same time. With the PS4 launching on August 17th, it will be a big time for PC gamers as well. Sony is known for letting developers create a cross-platform game for PC, and the last PC game I remember was the excellent Diablo III.
This is the only game that I will be able to play on both platforms, and I can’t wait. I want to see the story and characters through the eyes of a new character, the game’s protagonist. All that I can see now is the cutscenes, so I’m eager to discover what this story is all about.
While you can play the game on both platforms via the single-player campaign, the developer wants to give everyone the ability to play the game via online. This will allow you to explore the world from the comfort of your home, and play any one of the seven story modes. The only problem is that the online servers are a bit old, and the Xbox Live servers are too good for this to work.
The Xbox version will be the first time the game will be available on all platforms, so it’s going to be a bit of a test of compatibility. The developer assures us that the servers are up and running, though the game is not yet playable anywhere. The good news is that you can play it in-store, though you can’t play online, so it’s still early days.
The good news is that the developer is looking at cross-platform servers and the Xbox Live servers are pretty good, so hopefully the game is playable on them. The Xbox version will also have the ability to stream online, so you can play it in your living room and it will stream to you. The PS4 version will not be able to stream online, but the developer is looking at cross-platform servers, which is a good sign.
Sony is planning to push this game to the big screens by launching this summer, which I would love to see. This could be the first big success for Sony’s PS4, as it seems like Sony is finally taking a stab at putting a really good crossplay game out in the world. If this is the direction Sony goes with games, it will mark a huge change in the way all gamers interact with each other.
