I am in the midst of trying to recover from swine flu, but it does not feel anything like the flu. The flu is a virus, a disease, a common illness, but swine flu is all about the symptoms. Swine flu can be mild or severe depending on how you present it to your doctor. Symptoms include: headache, fever, body aches, and congestion.
That’s basically it. If my doctor tells me that I have the flu I just need to go to the hospital and get my temperature checked. If it’s not a fever, I can stay home and get my fever checked, and if it’s a fever I can go to the doctor and get treated.
My doctor also warned me that I need to stay home for at least 2 weeks. I’ve been told that I can “catch” the flu from mexican kids and be okay, and the flu is not very contagious, so I’m not worried.
