Yes. Yes, you do.
This is because GTA IV is the last game on the original Xbox. Not only does this mean that it is the last game in the series of games it is based on, but it means that the last game that came out on Xbox 360 will be the last game on Xbox 360. Since Xbox 360 is a console-based game, it will be the last game on Xbox that will run on the original Xbox’s hardware.
This is a great thing for gamers. You get to play a game that you love on a high-specced console. I know because I own the original Xbox, which is a great console but not high-specced. The new Xbox is also the first console to support dual-core processors. And if you own a PC, you can play GTA IV on Windows, Mac, or Linux.
Xbox 360 is very good for PC gaming because it has a very powerful GPU. But if you want a game that you love on the console, you can’t go wrong with the original Xbox.

However, there’s this drawback to the Xbox 360. Because the original Xbox did, in fact, have a very high-specced GPU, many games that I play on Windows, Mac, or Linux just aren’t playable on the original Xbox. This is one of many reasons why I can’t play certain games on the original Xbox I own, such as GTA IV, which requires a very powerful GPU to run.
This issue is actually a great deal lessened on the new Xbox. Its a great console but the Xbox 360 does have a very high-end GPU. It’s a GPU that is capable of holding up to several games at once, and is capable of run games at a speed that rivals gaming consoles from the PlayStation 2 to the Wii.
So, just because a game requires a super GPU, does not mean that it cannot run on a less powerful machine. I can go into the Xbox 360’s BIOS and see if it offers a setting for the games to run at 3D.
The problem with the new Xbox is that some games require a super GPU to run. For example, a game like Fallout 3 is very CPU-intensive, and because of this requires a GPU with a lot of power.
I’m not sure about this. I played the Xbox 360 version of GTA III the first time it came out recently, and it ran flawlessly on my PC with its standard settings. I think you can run it on the Xbox 360 at a speed close to the PS3, but I’m not convinced about it.
