The new season hasn’t even arrived but I can already hear the rumblings of a change in the way we view the game. While this is a good thing, its also good to be aware of where we stand. We’ve been inundated with new ideas and practices that have us all up in arms. I’m not saying the new ways of thinking aren’t good, but in this new era we have it all the wrong.
It might be premature to say how we feel about the game, but I think theres a lot of good to be said about basketball. Theres a lot of innovation going on in basketball right now and Im glad we are getting to witness it. When you are constantly changing the rules, making players better, and constantly trying to fit the game into a more commercial and accessible format, its healthy to keep an eye on the trends.

14 to No. 7 and adding a new starting lineup to make up for the loss of LeBron. The big move, however, is the addition of the team’s newest star, Dwyane Wade.

But he’s still a good player and we don’t have to look too far to see his potential. The Heat have already made Wade a key piece of their offense with the addition of him to the lineup.
